Skirt Project (Istanbul Fashion Academy x London College of Fashion/First Year, First Semester Project)
Project aims to up-cycle the second hand outdoor materials which were Parachute and Camping Bag. I choose a topic called "Skyfall" to design a multi-functional paratrooper/pilot jumpsuit. You can use wear it in the way you like or functional.
My project exhibited as one of the creative projects at Istanbul Fashion Academy stand at Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) at Istanbul Expo Centre.

In this section, you can see the digital version of the sketchbook for my skirt project, "Skyfall."
In this sustainable skirt project, it is very important for me that not only the final product but also the sketchbook used to present it aligns with the zero-waste principle. For this reason, I have taken certain steps.
The skirt project was created using zero-waste methods, upcycled from second-hand bags and parachutes. In line with this goal, no plastic or plastic-based adhesives were used in the creation of the sketchbook. All visuals included in the sketchbook were meticulously stitched one by one.
Approximately over 100 different sizes of paper waste were generated during the making of the sketchbook. Therefore, on behalf of my school, Istanbul Fashion Academy, I donated two saplings, which corresponds to approximately 16,300 sheets of paper.
