Shirt Project (Istanbul Fashion Academy x London College of Fashion/First Year, Second Semester Project)

Project aims to create the white shirt with using only white fabric as it is mention on the project. I use white cotton satin fabric as primary fabric and secondary fabric. Besides I use used/second hand cotton handkerchiefs to enlace the belt (obi belt).
*Second-hand products were used to contribute to sustainable fashion.*

In this section, you can see the digital version of the sketchbook for my shirt project, "Hakushoku Jidai."
In this shirt project I intend to tell a different story. I called this story Hakushoku Jidai, it means White Era. This title refers the beginning of Meiji Period and the ending of Edo period.
I made a white komino that bears traces of both periods, specifically called the Edo Style Komon. Edo Style Komon brings the Japanese Traditional Sashiko Embrodery technique which I used on my project, two on the chest and one on the back.
